The dimmer switch features a 120V AC single pole/3-way installation. Fine-tune the adjustment dial to eliminate any LED/CFL flickering. The wall plate can be installed without any screws, blending seamlessly into the wall. This dimmer is compatible with a wide range of household lighting, but not with smart lights controlled by WiFi, Bluetooth, or Zigbee.
For single pole installation, connect the green dimmer ground wire to the ground wire in the wall-box, the black dimmer wire to the hot input wire, and either of the two red dimmer wires to the light fixture wire. For 3-way installation, connect the green dimmer ground wire to the ground wire, the black dimmer wire to the TAG wire, and the red dimmer wires to the remaining wires.
To fine-tune the dimming performance, turn the adjustment dial counter-clockwise at the low end of the dimming level when the light starts to flicker, ensuring a stable light output. Set the slider to a position where there is no hum or flickering on the light fixtures.
The Cloudy Bay dimmer improves the compatibility of dimmable CFLs and LEDs, eliminating flicker and ensuring proper operation at all light levels. However, dimmable LEDs and CFLs may not achieve the same low levels as incandescent or halogen sources.
If you experience issues such as flashing lights or flickering, check the compatibility of the lighting fixtures, and ensure that you are controlling lights/lamps of the same type or model with the dimmer. Consult the lighting fixture supplier's dimmer list to avoid compatibility issues and ensure a stable performance.
